Theresa has been a competitive athlete since the age of 9 when she competed nationally in gymnastics until the age of 14. Upon entering Mahwah High School, Theresa joined the tennis and track teams where she became accomplished in both. On the track team, she excelled in both sprinting and jumping. Along with performing the triple jump, Theresa set the Mahwah H.S. long jump record with a leap of 15’ 9”.

In tennis, Theresa was a standout doubles player and three year starter for the T-Birds. She was voted All-County and All-State as a junior and her team that year, 1985, was inducted into the Mahwah High School Hall of Fame in 2005.

Following high school, Theresa attended both the University of Deleware and Berkely College where she made running her passion. She has continued this love of running by completing both the Rock-N-Roll Marathon in Phoenix, Arizona and the New York City Marathon in the same year, 2005. Theresa is currently training for marathon #3 – New York City 2006!

Theresa is committed to diet and exercise and has become a fitness professional because exercise is something she loves and lives every day maintaining her own healthy lifestyle. Prior to her career change to personal training, Theresa was an executive administrator for the VP of advertising in a Fortune 500 company.

Good Energy welcomes Theresa and her decision to work in this environment where she thrives. We look forward to Theresa sharing her marathon experience and dieting advice to our clientele and inspire more of us to enter in local 5k runs and challenges. As a mother of two, Courtney and Cayla, Theresa is a role model for all young working mothers that there is time for a proper diet and exercise if there is the desire.
