The First TUG OF WAR!

August 2006

Cory Doviak, 4-Feet Grafix was there to cover the 1st Annual GE BEACH WORKOUT!

The Workout was so unique, memorable, fun & difficult...that we have duplicated 2 more years to keep the tradition alive.

5am - Set-Up for the 4th Annual GE Beach Workout

Mike Pierce - Oldest Participant (38)

Circuit I - Exercise 1

...not really sure what he got himself into.

Cory Connell - April's Athlete of the Month

...Getting some guidance and coaching from partner, Warren Roark

Warren Roark - 4 Year Participant

Warren leads by example in the Keg Push...an event that he still holds the record in...

"New" addition - The Prowler Sprint!

...after further review...the sled sprint turned into the Prowler Sprint in `09.

If you remember from last year,...many of the participants threw the harness over their shoulder and performed a "lifeguard save" instead of an acceleration sprint!

Unfortunately, Anthony Dolan was struggling a little bit in this picture because it's not a low position like the crab sled, but rather a high push that allows the body to accelerate more efficiently....

....ahhh,...technique comes into play in the Beach Workout and in your Sport!

Connor O'Callahan

The youngest participant has a little nasty streak (game face) as he launches the Keg.

The Keg & Beach prevailed.....?

Although intense and giving 100%...at least in this picture...the Keg and Beach appeared to win versus Connor....

...Puke & Rally !

...You have seen it on this website before,...an athlete's ability to work hard enough to throw up and then have the guts to contiune to train.

Connor O'Callahan was "that guy" today at the 4th Annual Beach Workout - holding his own during the Tug of War!

Thanks for Leading by Example Connor!

Michele Rozar - Statistician

Thanks to Michele for her help in the trenches making sure that everyone tallied their repetitions fairly...

At Good Energy's Beach Workout...we DO compete, and there ARE winners!

Taylor Ciali

...despite missing the "Original" Beach Workout, Taylor was in mid-season form Saturday...and will be a beast on the field for Hobart this Fall.

He is doing a great job training the GE Athlete's this Summer and leads by example.

Andy Romans

Andy did a good job for GE in providing the Athlete's with a clean track, offering plenty of guidance and talking a little trash...but he did feel like he should have thrown some kegs too.

ugh....the Crab Sled!

...the Crab Sled makes the meanest and strongest Man....modest.

Here you see it tame 2-way Ramsey lineman Cory Connell....

....umm....okay not everyone.

...but this is Warren Roark.

Division 1-AA Scholarship Football Player
William & Mary

I don't care what year he graduated or how old he is. Warren is mean...pretty strong...and the muscle memory that has lasted over the years is clearly evident.

This Crab Sled is a walk in the park for Mr. Roark.

see...it got Connor!

With sneakers on and no place to dig his skates in,...Ramsey Hockey defenseman Connor O'Callahan is pleading to the crab sled to surge forward....

....eventually it does, but it's tough!

...got Mike too!

Mike feels so comfortable riding 100 miles on his bike, running a 5K or swimming in a triathalon...

...but the crab sled was a tough component.

...still pulling the Rope...

Warren is kind of a ringer...
...he's been working hard his whole life

... but has been pulling sleds at GE for over 3 years.

Broad Jumps @ the Beach!

Anthony Dolan

Obstacle Course...

Taylor Ciali...selling out to the finish line.
