Spring Athlete's Doing it GE Style!

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Alicia Daniele is now 2-0 for IHA with her 9 strikeout, 0 walk & 2 infield hit pitching performance yesterday vs. Clifton in a 9-0 win.

Alicia is putting ALL her Hard Work to use this year during her senior campaign and she is proving why Emerson College is excited to have her talent for the next four years.

Zak Palmer & Anthony D'Alessandro are also on a roll for Mahwah H.S. as they are off to a quick 3-0 start. Both Zak and Anthony are hitting for power with a few homers apiece and excelling with runner's in scoring position.

Good Energy is soo excited for our Spring Athlete's and it's only the 2nd week!

Field Where Dreams Do Come True - Monmouth, NJ

April 1, 2010

Andy Romans - Jim Garrett - Pete Ohnegian

No April Fool's in this picture! Andy & Pete headed down to Coach Garrett's ranch to run around for the NFL! Andy did NOT disappoint during the one hour-plus workout as Coach concluded: "Andy was a heck of a football player."

Coming from a man that has been in "the game" over 50 years & at the highest level for many of them - that is high praise.

Now we will continue the NFL Campaign with potential workouts with the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets and a follow-up workout with Coach Garrett & Darian Barnes (8 year NFL vet). The GE Team is excited of the prospect that more teams will give Andy the opportunity to run on their Field prior to the NFL Draft so Andy can put on pads in a team's first Mini-Camp following the Draft on April 22nd.

13 years ago, Pete Ohnegian ran around on Coach Garrett's same back yard at the Beach and signed an NFL Contract with the Dallas Cowboys...

...on Holy Thursday & the day before GOOD FRIDAY we know things are looking up with the help, support and guidance from legendary New Jersey Football icon - Jim Garrett!

Go GOOD ENERGY - - - Keep the Revolution going!

Not "into Numbers..." - but 500 lbs is 500 POUNDS!

Monday, March 22, 2010

On a rainy Monday afternoon, it was bright and in the mid-60's in the Shop when Pascack Valley junior Defensive Lineman Sean Carney performed this 500lb - 1 Rep Max Squat.

Our Football-Strength & Power Program is in "Full-Go" this Spring and our Athlete's are getting stronger, more explosive... and moving alot of weight. Although our Program is not "all about" numbers, we had to share with you this great lift by Sean.

We are excited to have Sean in our program. He was referred to us thru his Dad's friend at a Health Club. This GE Believer knows that we have had proven results training Athlete's and he suggested to Mr. Carney that Sean prepare at GE to get the MOST out of his senior season!

Go GOOD ENERGY - let's continue the Revolution 2010!

Immaculate Heart ace hopes to pen winning story

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

BY ANDY VASQUEZ
The Record
STAFF WRITER

Immaculate Heart softball pitcher Alicia Daniele, a senior from Mahwah, has decided to pitch collegiately at Emerson College in Boston. She also was considering Franklin & Marshall.

But pitching isn’t the only craft Daniele will be hoping to refine at Emerson.
"I love to write," Daniele said. "And I’ve always wanted to study writing."

Daniele has been accepted into the department of literature, creative writing and publishing at Emerson. She hopes to become a freelance novelist after graduation.

Daniele has written for her student newspaper, IHA Accents, and ORB, IHA’s literary magazine.
She’s also a voracious reader. And while Daniele isn’t sure what she’ll write her first novel about, she’s a big fan of classic literary fiction, including Jane Austen.

Softball, along with academics, was also a major part of Daniele’s decision. Emerson was ranked as the top academic Division III softball team in the country last year.

"Softball was a big part of the decision," Daniele said. "But [the academics] certainly made it easier."

Daniele’s experience with club softball with the New Jersey Pride and New Jersey Heist – she’s dedicated to the sport year-round – also made the entire process easier.

"Playing club, softball is what they live and breathe," Daniele said. "And I think that it will really help in transitioning to college."
