Junior - Georgetown Lacrosse

While at Ridgewood HS we worked hard on Sammy G's Speed, Agility, Strength & Confidence to Lead the Maroons. She did, winning Bergen County & State Championships.

She trained in the Winter & Summer both in the Shop performing Strength training 2-3x per week and prior to making the GE BackYard, in the SuperDome in Waldwick or ETA in Franklin Lakes where we taught our Speed & Agility Training.

Sammy G is now a junior middie for Georgetown University and his having success at the highest level of lacrosse. We could not be more happy to share in her Success because that is our Ultimate goal for our student-athletes.

Teach them how to Train - "Like they Will" at the highest Level.
Sammy G. is PROOF that GE Training Works.

GE Athlete's Aren't FOOLS!

April 1, 2014

April is here and that means "PLAY BALL!" for ALL our Spring Athletes. These "In Season" Athletes include our 30 plus Club Soccer players that will have a rigorous schedule this Spring including State Cup matches that are in the evenings starting this week.

What does that mean? It means that student athletes like Geeja Martone (pictured) Ramsey High School junior/Matchfit are banged up like it's November. For this very reason we have added Stretch Sessions on Wednesdays at 8pm and Saturday at 8am and 12pm.

Our facility wants to be a resource for ALL our Athletes so if you are "In Season" or just in need of a solid one hour of dynamic core, static stretching and mobility work - get in to GE this Spring to stay injury free & refresh your body with a GE Stretch.

Starting for Penn State - Harrisburg

Excited for Troy Taber's immediate success in College Baseball. Troy worked HARD last winter before his senior year at Park Ridge HS and made it count as the Owls had a solid 2014 campaign.

Troy most recently pitched a complete game victory for Penn State-Harrisburg during their Spring Break in Myrtle Beach recording the win vs. Mount St. Mary's of NY.

Troy stays in the lineup on his non-pitching days and has been solid at the plate as well.

Looking forward to sharing Troy's success this Spring with you and know that it ALL started with Troy's preparation at Good Energy Training in the Off Season and Pre Season as well as with Patrick Stanley at Complete Game Professional Pitching Instruction next door.

GE Winter... finally coming to an End .

HS Basketball State Playoffs

Friday - March 14, 2014

Madison Dunbar #33 (Northern Highlands Senior) & Tom Sweeney #15 (Don Bosco Prep Senior) both had great runs for their schools but they came to an end last night.

Madison & the Highlanders had a 20 game winning streak snapped by West Morris Central last night in the Group 3 State Semifinal game at Ramapo HS.

Tom and the Ironmen lost to St. Peters at Rutgers University in the State North Non-Public A Championship.

Both Madison & Tom were Leaders on their teams and are headed to play in College - Madison as a guard for the University of Chicago and Tom as a Tight End in Football for Boston College.

They both may have lost in a Big game last night, but they are both HUGE GE Winners and Leaders in Life. Proud they Train with Us at GE!

Passing On the NEW Heart of a GE Champion!

Saturday - March 8, 2014

Dee Cheyne & Jenn Burke

Two of this years participants that actually DOUBLED our 2nd Annual February Cardio Challenge. Dee was last year's Overall Champion and she is pictured sharing the Gift of Athleta to Jenn Burke for ALL her Hard Work in February.

We almost doubled our Participation this year in the Challenge with over 30 Contestants and EVERYONE did a great job getting extra Cardio into their regular routine and trying out NEW Classes.

The GE Staff hopes that March's Challenge will continue the Cardio Conscious efforts and Lead to Great Results as we head into Spring 2014...

...the snow has to melt soon - the Flowers are ready to come up and our Athletes are itching to get on that baseball/softball diamond and lacrosse field.

"In Memory of Madison..."

With the Spirit of Madison Holleran's vivacious smile and infectious leadership on the track or soccer field we will Challenge ourselves with Extra Classes & Cardio.

Madison was The Bergen Record poster child for Track & Field in 2012-13 for Northern Highlands and was a Soccer standout as well. Following her first semester at UPENN, Madison took her life and left behind an entire community grieving for her loss. With the support of her Mom, Stacey we have decided to memorialize a Gift in Madison's name to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - thru the March Challenge.

If you wish to donate towards our Memorial Gift for Madison - please contact our facility at 201-760-9900 or send us an email at
