Andy Romans has been a fixture at Good Energy since the completion of his junior football season at St. Joe's Regional H.S. – Montvale, in the Winter of 2004. Initially, Andy wanted to get bigger, faster and stronger for his senior year and to improve his college recruitment. Shortly into his Off-Season Program, Andy became a total believer in the philosophy and techniques in the Good Energy system and has excelled in our training ever since.
Andy had an awesome senior year at St. Joe's-Montvale accumulating numerous accolades including All-League, All-County & All-State Honors. He was The Bergen Record's Athlete of the Week following his MSG Player of the Game performance in a victory over Don Bosco Prep, and Defensive Player of the Game in the North-South All-Star Game at Rutger's University. Following the college recruitment process, Andy landed in Easton, PA as one of Lafayette College's top recruits in 2005. He lettered as a freshman and was a part of Lafayette's Patriot League Championship team and Division 1-AA Playoff berth. Andy became a certified personal trainer through W.I.T.S. while taking his normal academic load at Lafayette.
In the Summer`06, Andy was not only a regular at Good Energy, strength training four times per week and performing speed & conditioning two days, but he also became a part-time personal trainer working with some of our younger athletes. Andy's knowledge of Good Energy's principles and techniques is impressive and he has been a great addition to our staff. He is currently a sophomore starting outside linebacker for the Leopards where he is leading the team in tackles in their quest to capture their 3rd straight Patriot League Championship and third consecutive trip to the Division 1-AA playoffs.
Andy is committed to diet and exercise and has become a fitness professional because he loves working out and enjoys sharing the knowledge he has gained by experience in the weight room and on the field. Andy sets a great example for our younger athletes with his work ethic, determination and will to succeed. He is living proof that Hard Work, Pays Off!
